My school photo from 1st gradeMy kids took there school pictures last week.
As I was doing their respective hair(s), I mentioned to them how lucky they were that their mom did their hair in the privacy of their own home.
"Whaaaat?"
I explained to them that my mother found out what time our class' pictures were to be taken, showed up at the school with brushes & hairspray (just short of extensions, glitter & self tanner) so she could primp us up just before the flashes began.
And, yes, she stood behind the camera man smiling and pointing to her exhausted cheeks simultaneously.

amen sista!!! WHAT??? is what I keep asking myself. You were at least lucky enough to have it stop before Junior High. She made me do it until 7th grade. Oh the therapy. But look how many cute pictures you have. It was actually my fault because my kindergarten picture turned out so bad. I looked like I was going to throw up. So she came for retakes and figured that was what she was going to have to do.

Hilarious! On the opposite side, I had a mom that forgot pictures so I could sneak out whatever I wanted to wear. In kinder, I wore a tank top...taboo...and then realized how stupid I was. She saw it when the pictures came. Nice...
