Okay, okay....I know this may seem ridiculous to some (all) of you, but I have my reasons - my very good, sane, normal reasons.
I'm putting up my Christmas Tree today. I'm almost sure I'm not the only one that wants to, but I may be the only one that actually does it. Now before I go on, I love Thanksgiving and plan on celebrating it as much as the next person. Believe me, I love turkey with all the trimmings and I have so much to be thankful for this season that it might make you sick! I'm not blowing it off like the rest of the commercial/retail world. But here are my top 10 reasons I'm giving into my Christmas decorating urgency:
- I don't know where we will be come Christmas Day.
- We may even move before Christmas - and I can't just put everything on hiatus until we know what we're doing.
- We're traveling for Thanksgiving and I need time with my Christmas tree and decorations.
- Steven will let me ; ). It's sweet how he thinks he has a say in the matter.
- Bradley's begging.
- It makes me happy.
- My kids don't take off the decorations - lucky me. Everything will stay in its place.
- It's finally cold enough (below 70 degrees) that it doesn't seem nearly as ludicrous.
- The entire family is home (no school for anyone), what else are we going to do that isn't going to require us to spend money?
- Because it's my house and I can - my favorite reason.

You go for it girl! Mine is already up and I love it!! I have already joined the dark side. Enjoy the season as long as you can I say!
you're awesome - ya, my mom was the "the day after" kinda person and so she might come hunt me down if I started celebrating early...but seriously, the day after - I can't wait!!
very fun. i don't blame you one bit. i might just join you, but we get ourselves a real needle-dropping tree, and they're not for sale yet, unbelievably!
I'm totally with ya on this one! We've got the 'buy another real tree... or get a fake one" dilemma going on at our house... something suppose I should blog about... me thinks I will!
You go girl! I'll have to come admire your place-- I"m being a scrooge this year and not putting anything up... We'll be out of town anyway. I agree it's the best time of the year-- why not relish in it???
the "me thinks I will comment" was from me... I don't know why it came up as anonymous... and my grammar is apparently very shabby.
