Rubik's

Sunday night our friend's were at our house for dessert. The Rubik's Cube was pulled out and Jessie N* (a 14 year old) "fixed" it within moments. This cube had been in it's current condition for over a year. His father Todd said, "you think that's good, watch Sadie (age 11) give it a try."

So I spent the next 2 minutes scrambling it up.

She spent the next 35 seconds "fixing" it again.

Dang it!

Do you know the secrets of The Rube?

Are we the only ones that can be schooled by a bunch of tweens?

I suck at the stupid cube!
I am convinced that everyone who can solve it is a genius.

I actually do know the secret of the rube! Once you know the secret and have you "home spot" you can even do it with your eyes closed cause it's just a series of turns in the right order. Good luck! Let me know when you figure it out!

nope, I would get schooled too! I do not have the slightest clue what the tricks to the cube are!

I remember playing with it when I was a kid--- but never could figure out how to do all of the sides like these guys can! It's awesome. Curiosity even got Emma started figuring it out. It's very addictive...she can't put it down. :-)

I got Graham one of those a couple of years ago for Christmas and he totally figures them out in a snap! I love to make fun of him by telling him he is somewhat of a nerd! (inside though I am totally jealous because I can't figure them out and I wish I could!)

I don't touch those things.

KC is AWESOME at it. He knows the secrets. He brought it to Zach's kindergarten class and performed for them.

Hey- thanks again for a lovely Sunday afternoon and the sharing of your family's ancient calzone recipe! ;) We are so glad to have known you guys and wish you the best in your upcoming (?) move and remember to let us know when you're in the OC. We should have asked Steve to reenact that feat of strength while we were over! Love you guys!

I dont believe John. And I cant do it at all. Apparently though when you buy one in the store it comes with instructions as to how to solve it. I know because I bought my husband one and he admitted "cheating" to solve it.

I Want to Hear From You!
