The missionaries were at our house Monday night.
Transfers were Tuesday so instead of one companionship, there were two.
I prepared:
- A large broccoli salad
- A huge vat of creamed corn
- and a 9x13 pan of oven potatoes
I had two dozen cookies and a half gallon of Blue Bell for dessert.
I was so excited at the thought of leftovers. Who was I kidding? All but a few cookies and half the ice cream were GONE within an hour. Their mamas have no need to worry about their boys. They're being well taken care of.

yea... I think I'll send my boys over for dinner tonight (and my husband!) you wouldn't mind would you?!! That is so nice of you guys. It's such a neat feeling to have the lord's missionaries in your home isn't it! Way to feed them, you guys are awesome!!
Wow that's alot of food. Sounds good. How do you make cream corn? We had never heard of it until we moved here and now we are hooked on RUDYS :). I'de love your recipe.
You just made me have a serious craving for Broccoli salad. My personal favorite.
Suzette, just click on the meal and it will link you to the recipe.
Wow. Glad I don't live in your ward. You would so show us up!
The only creamed corn I've ever tasted has been out of a can and I wasn't a fan (though I love traditional canned corn). Not to compare your recipe to a canned version, but is it considerably different? If so I'd gladly give it a try. It looks good in the picture.
mmm- your post just made me hungry. I haven't had brisket in forever! Good job taking care of the missionaries!
