Home Ownership

Why I'm scared out of my mind to be a home-owner.
These leaks and cracks (4 total) came after that last ice storm that came through H*. We're on the top floor, so when the roof doesn't hold up, neither does our ceiling.
A lovely bowl that caught it all (er, at least most of it). I will say it was awfully nice to call our office and the maintenance team was up on the roof by the next day - it's all fixed. Throwing our money away while renting is occasionally worth the hassle-free upkeep. I don't have to clean my carpets, mow the lawn, fix leaky faucets, paint my walls, climb up on my roof - three stories up. Some things are just out of my league.

Hey...I can't see the pics. Plus... I think it is "bowl", not "bowel". If there are pics of someone's bowels holding in water -- you should take them off quickly!

Love all 4.5 of you guys! (actually, 7 of you if you count the twins you are having...)

That does not sound like fun. I too am glad that I don't have to pay for repairs right now! Although I can't see the pictures, maybe they'll appear later.

So sorry we can't open the pictures. Certainly glad the damage was repaired w/o you having to "bug" the maintenance team. Yes, one blessing of renting and renting from the right people :>)

Yes being a homeowner has it down side. I too loved calling my landlords whenever there was a problem. But I wouldn't trade it now that I have had my own home! It is stressful at times but worth it to me!

I have to admit that I miss being able to call the landlord when things go amiss!
