Case of the Uglies

I'm feeling ugly-pregnant at this point. I get HUGE! Tara is my empathizer (though I never remember her getting this big - she just tells me she does....either way, it's nice to know there's someone else out there). It happens early on in my pregnancy, so at 6 months, I was looking pretty pregnant. People would always acuse me of being pregnant with twins or say things like "Girrrrl, you'll never make it 'til May." Ugh. So at this point, I truly only comfortable in jammies/warm-ups.
My last hi-light job was not very good, so I'm hoping to get these roots fixed before we begin having visitors. This isn't helping my self-esteem. I might just be ready to whack my hair all off.
I get a mild case of malasma at the end of my pregnancies, so my skin looks a little not-so-glowing. Why don't we go ahead and chalk that up there.
And I need a pedicure. Mostly because I can't reach my toes.
I have 7 weeks to go. I think I can. I think I can. My neighbor was induced today (2 1/2 weeks early) and I'm insanely jealous.
I get weekly updates on the developmental stage of my baby from a website called babycenter. This is the "picture" of what I'm supposed to look like. I don't look like this.

"Picture, picture, picture . . . "

alright, so since this entry comes from a one of the most beautiful women I know, I am pushing the idea of pregnancy with #3 further and further from my mind - girl, you ain't seen ugly! but we all know how yucky it gets to feeling once you get close to the end - take it easy and have some chocolate with your feet up every single day!

Oh Mindy, don't despair! You're always harder on yourself than anyone else is... You always look so good. This IS the hard stage of being prego, but hang in there! Soon a precious newborn will be in your arms and OUT of your belly! :)

Oooohh...I feel your pain! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Just be glad you've never seen me PREGNANT and NAKED...it's quite horrifying. To make it even better, I get stretch marks that cover every inch of my stomach. They always make me feel much better. ;) It's just not right to get this big!!!

You can do it! Just take it one day at a time! I wish I was around to help you, I would love to take your kids for you, I love them. Your birthday is coming up, splurge and get your pedicure done! I always get mine done in those last couple weeks. I always need a pick-me-up like that!

Impossible for you to look bad. Everybody knows it but you.

Hi Mindy! It's Valeri (used to be Halliday, now, Andersen). Don't know if you remember me - it's been years! My mom was in touch with Ruth recently, who passed onto us your blog address. Anyway, I just had to tell you how absolutely beautiful your sweet little Bradley and Emmy are! And I fully disagree with this particular post. Of course we all feel less than attractive in our finally months of pregnancy! But I've seen you in this stage before (if you remember, I was at your baby shower for Bradley), and you looked about as gorgeous as they come! Don't be so hard on yourself. :)

If you happen to remember me, I hope, shoot me an email: valeriandersen@juno.com. Hope Texas is treating you guys well!

I Want to Hear From You!
