The Runs


Because of this little diet thingy goin' on, I've been eating eggs a lot (way too much) for breakfast. You know, watching the carbs and all.

Lately, I haven't been so much eating them as I have been choking them down.

I'm wondering if there's some amazing way of cooking them up that I don't know about. Doubt it.

But as I was eating them (AGAIN!) this morning, I thought of my sister, Kristen as well as my friend, Shelley who might as well have over-easy eggs be against their religion (in fact I'm pretty sure Kristen's still in therapy over childhood traumas with runny eggs and Shelley had to choke down some bile because of the picture above). Now, I don't totally abhor the things, but they make me a little queasy if I don't have something else with them.

So tell me (because I obviously can't think of anything else to blog about)

How do you like your eggs?

i like em poached on wheat toast with a healthy dose of salt and black pepper. mmm.

I like eggs with crumbled bacon and cheese on toast. I don't think that would work well with a diet though:)

I like my eggs deviled, in omelets, rolled up with cheese and peppers and meat in tortillas, and a million other ways when they're not runny. I love the ones the Easter Bunny brings :>) love, mil PS I'm talking to Brian's bishop about his whiskey comment!

I love them just about any way, over easy on toast, boiled with a cream sauce, poached, fried, scrambled with cheese, in an omelet, breakfast burrito, quiche. I love eggs, but I don't eat them very often too much cholesterol - although I don't have to worry about that right now.

I like eggs poached on toast, but on my diet I prefer one egg omelette with one ounce of pepper jack cheese (if you don't like spicy you could do cheddar) I also sometimes just add some jalapenos if I need more spice!

Definatly scrambled with salt and pepper or ketchup. But they taste better when you are on vacation or didn't have to cook.

I know where your coming from I had to back off eating so many eggs you can figure out why. But for healthy eating purposes I eat 3 egg while omelet with a little hot sauce wrapped in a small tortilla. Good protein/carb combination. Also egg white oatmeal pancakes.

with salsa like any good Texan! =) but take a break from eggs and try Quaker Oats Weight Control Oatmeal- banana bread flavor, you probably can't finish the serving and it'll keep you full longer than anything I've ever had for breakfast!

Eggs suck! I only eat them hard-boiled. Less mess, less cooking.
